The British edition of The People’s Movies has added the Ukrainian horror film "Outsider" to its list of the scariest films of 2020.
According to the publication, the film directed by Dmytro Tomashpolsky is "deeply triple" and "smart and scary". "Outsider" explores complex philosophical issues with a rich cinematic vocabulary that is constantly surprising and challenging" - writes The People's Movies.
According to the plot of the film, the synchronized swimming team disappears underwater in the pool during the performance, and the patient of the water hospital disappears while taking a pine-pearl bath. How are these things related, and what is a doll with living hair for? This will have to be investigated by Inspector Glukhovskaya, who has no unsolved cases in her career. And she's going to have to find out who she really is.
The film is expected to be released in Ukrainian cinemas in the fall of 2021.
On behalf of the "Outside" already 20 international film festivals - in South Korea, USA, Japan, Canada, India, Estonia, Colombia, Portugal, Norway, Brazil, Israel. 11 awards were won, including awards for best film, screenplay, direction, cinematography, etc.
