On December 10, Cinema Eye, which specializes in journalism and documentaries, announced a list of nominees for its annual award.
In the category for outstanding films, without a wide representation in North America, authors who are at the beginning of their careers - "Spotlight Award" presented a documentary film by Irina Tsilik "The land is blue like an orange".
The winners of the award will be announced on March 9, 2021.
Cinema Eye was founded in 2007 to support documentaries and non-fiction films. The committee for the selection of nominees includes programmers and the directorate of the world's leading and iconic documentary film festivals. More than 800 members of the organization have the right to vote to determine the winners - filmmakers, film festival management, film festival jury members, film critics and publicists.
