On October 3, the closing ceremony of the 11th OIFF took place, which for the first time in history took place online. According to the results of the audience voting, the Grand Prix in the International Competition Program of the Odessa International Film Festival was awarded to the film "Dinner in America", and the prize "Audience" in the National Competition Program was awarded to the film "Victor_Robot".
Valentin Vasyanovich's "Atlantis" was recognized as the best film in the international competition. The film has received numerous international awards, including a prize in the "Horizons" section of the Venice Film Festival. Ukrainian distribution of the film begins on November 5, 2020.
Honorary "Golden Duke" for his contribution to cinema was awarded to one of the most famous Ukrainian directors Roman Balayan. Earlier, at the opening ceremony of the festival, a similar prize was awarded to Swedish director Roy Andersson.
The Closing Ceremony was traditionally conducted by TV presenter, journalist, actress Yanina Sokolova and TV presenter Oleh Panyuta.
The closing film of the 11th OIFF was a new work by Agnieszka Holland "Charlatan", which had its world premiere at the 70th Berlin Film Festival as part of the Berlinale Special program.
