The leaders in the number of nominations were the drama "Bad Roads" by Natalia Vorozhbyt (6 nominations), the drama "Atlantis" by Valentyn Vasyanovych (4 nominations) and the documentary "The Blue Earth Like an Orange" by Iryna Tsilyk (3 nominations). Oksana Voronina was posthumously nominated for her role in the film "Bad Roads".
The winners will be announced at the award ceremony before the opening of the Kyiv Critics' Week festival on October 22, 2020.

The National Film Critics Award KINOKOLO is an annual award established in 2018, which determines the achievements of Ukrainian cinema and film industry figures for the last year on behalf of the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine. The award committee includes film critics and film critics who are members of FIPRESCI; Ukrainian film critics, whose reviews and critical materials are published in the print media, online media, radio or television; journalists who publish analytical materials about Ukrainian cinema in the media. The award committee currently has 44 members. The winners of the award are selected by voting in two stages. Initially, from among the list of all submitted films of Ukrainian production that meet the conditions of the award, the committee members select the nominees. During the second stage, a vote is held to determine the winners.
Tapes of Ukrainian production, the production of which was completed in the period from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 inclusive or which were shown for the first time in Ukraine in the period from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 inclusive, could be nominated for the Prize 2020, subject to application to participate.
In total, film critics reviewed 19 feature films, 49 short feature films, 36 documentaries (18 of them - full meter) and 23 animated films (22 of them - short films). 15 works were submitted for the nomination "Opening of the Year" as the first feature film by directors.
