The films "Atlantis", "My Thoughts Are Quiet" and "The Earth is Blue Like an Orange" involved in the national selection for nomination for the Oscar from Ukraine.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Oscar Committee. This year, three films were selected – the nominees for the Oscar of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the category "International Feature Film" from Ukraine.
The list includes: the drama "Atlantis" directed by Valentin Vasyanovich, the lyrical comedy "My thoughts are quiet" by Antonio Lukic and the documentary "The land is blue like an orange" by Irina Tsilyk. All films by Ukrainian directors have been recognized both in Ukraine and abroad, and only one film will be a candidate for the world's most prestigious award in cinema.
The results of the national selection will be known on September 24.
The 93rd Academy Awards for Cinematography in 2020 will be held on April 25, 2021 in Los Angeles.
