The 4th Kyiv Critics' Week Film Festival will host the Second Intensive for Young Film Critics, aimed at gaining practical knowledge in writing film reviews and interviews. The lecturers are the curators of the Kyiv Critics' Week - Daria Badior, Serhiy Ksaverov and Anna Datsyuk.
The intensive will start on October 1 and will last for one month. All participants will be selected from 10 participants, who will have the opportunity to attend lectures free of charge, gain practical knowledge and valuable experience in writing film reviews and interviews. Participants of the Intensives for Film Critics will be able to attend Kyiv Critics' Week, where the main task will be to write reviews of films from the festival program and interviews with Ukrainian directors. As a result, the best works will be published in partner online publications.
Applications will be submitted from September 1 to September 15, 2020. At least one written review (not necessarily published) is required.
The first Intensive for film critics was held in 2019 by the team of the organization "Modern Ukrainian Cinema" SUK "as part of the Film Review Festival. This fall, Intensive is being implemented by SUK in partnership with the Kyiv Critics' Week Film Festival.
Intensive lecturers:
Daria Badior is a film critic, journalist, editor of the Culture department of the online publication LB.ua, curator of the Kyiv Critics' Week film festival.
Serhiy Ksaverov is a film critic, author of LB.ua and DTF MAGAZINE, a member of FIPRESCI, and a curator of the Kyiv Critics' Week festival.
Anna Datsyuk is a film critic, journalist of the online media "DTF MAGAZINE", lecturer in the "Cultural Project", host of podcasts on the topic of cinema on "Radio Podil", curator of the festival "Kyiv Critics' Week".
