Producers Volodymyr Yatsenko and Anna Sobolevska open ForeFilms film company. She will focus on creating auteur feature and short films. Previous projects of the founders of the production include films such as Yaroslav Lodygin's "Wild Field", which was presented at the Black Nights Festival in Tallinn, Nariman Aliyev's "Home", which participated in the "Special View" competition at the Cannes Film Festival, and Valentin Vasyanovich's "Atlantis". which for the first time in the history of Ukrainian cinema won in the "Horizons" section of the Venice Film Festival.
"We see our mission in integrating the Ukrainian film industry into the European film process. The stories we will tell are universal, but they always have a Ukrainian identity. So far, Ukraine is perceived in the world as unusual and exotic. We will change this attitude, "says producer Volodymyr Yatsenko.
Now at different stages of production in ForeFilms new paintings by Valentin Vasyanovich, Nariman Aliyev, Antonio Lukic, Irina Tsilyk and the debut in full length of Pavel Ostrikov. Currently, two projects of the company are admitted to the Thirteenth Pitching of the State Cinema: the first feature film by Iryna Tsilyk "Me and Felix" and the short feature debut of "Boots" by Kateryna Lesyk. New projects and scenarios are constantly being searched for.
"For us, cinema is a powerful channel of communication with the whole world and an important tool of cultural diplomacy. Through it, we can talk, for example, about the war with Russia or the annexation of Crimea. We also want to develop the audience culture of watching auteur films in Ukraine. Our viewers deserve a clever film that raises complex topics, ”says producer Anna Sobolevska.
Previous projects of the producers were made on the basis of the production Limelite, which Volodymyr Yatsenko founded together with Anna Sanden. "We decided to divide the areas that differ in the field of effort: film and advertising. So now Limelite will continue to engage in the advertising business, and all new film projects that are being prepared for production will be created under the auspices of the new company "- explains the reason for the creation of ForeFilms producer Volodymyr Yatsenko.
