Due to the spread of COVID-19 and the continuation of the quarantine, the Molodist Film Festival, previously scheduled from May 30 to June 7, 2020, has been postponed to the summer season. This is stated in the official address of the festival team:
The MCFF “Molodist” Supervisory Board and Festival Management commented on the decision: “Due to the global health crisis and the sharp increase in casualties from COVID-19, the Molodist Directorate has made the difficult decision to postpone the film festival.
We stand in solidarity with the restriction of mass action for the sake of human security and look forward to an improvement in the global epidemiological situation in the world. The preliminary holding of the 49th Molodist is scheduled for August 22-30, 2020, but the final dates will depend on the further dynamics of the COVID-19 virus spread and the corresponding quarantine measures in Ukraine and abroad. "
This year, Kyiv's Molodist celebrates its 50th anniversary. The festival team continues to work on the previously announced concept and projects.
