Ada Rogovtseva will receive an honorary award from Golden Jig for his contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema

At the Fourth Solemn Ceremony of the National Cinema Award “Golden Jig” an honorary award for contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema will be presented to the outstanding Ukrainian actress of the theater and cinema Adi Rogovtseva.

“In twenty-three years I was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. It was a test! Fright! I regarded it as an advance and all subsequent life, receiving awards, I perceive them that way. The years are taking their toll, but I want to hope that I thank you, people, for this advance. Thank you, Golden Jig! ”Says Ada Rogovtseva.

The actress's creative background for more than 60 years is more than 150 roles in the theater, work with outstanding directors, more than 100 TV and movie credits, including works in the films "Forest song", "Salute, Marie", "Eternal Call", " Fireplace Master, Tame Fire, Sea, Father Has Three Sons, Family Circle, Payback, Two Months, Three Suns. The actress has worked with legendary film directors - Joseph Heifitz, Leonid Osika, Roman Balayan and others. She taught acting at the Karpenko-Kary Institute of Theater Arts and the Kiev University of Culture and Arts.

Ada Rogovtseva was awarded the Taras Shevchenko State Prize (1981), Hero of Ukraine (2007), Alexander Dovzhenko State Prize for outstanding contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema (2017). Among the actress's awards are four theatrical awards "Kyiv Pectoral" for Best Supporting Actress in "Lady without Camellias" (1991-1992), "Deceived" (1997), "Similar to Fortune" (2015), and for outstanding contribution to theater art (2004).

In previous years, the Golden Jig Award for Contribution to the Development of Ukrainian Cinematography was honored by: Ukrainian theater and cinema actress Larisa Kadochnikova, director, screenwriter, teacher Vyacheslav Krystofovich and cinematographer Yuriy Garmash.

In addition to the award for contribution to the development of Ukrainian cinema, Golden Jigsaw will be presented in 22 nominations this year. Applications for participation were accepted until January 22nd. The long list included 85 films. Currently, members of the Ukrainian Film Academy vote for films that will be included in the shortlist of applicants for the Golden Jig. The nominees will be announced in March. The solemn ceremony of awarding the Fourth National Film Award "Golden Jig" will take place on April 28 at the Parky.
