From February 5 to March 4, 2020, inclusive members of the Ukrainian Film Academy will vote in favor of defining a short list of nominees for the Fourth National Film Award "Golden Jig".
Applications for National Film Awards went from December 5, 2019 to January 22, 2020. 88 full-length and short-length tapes were submitted. These include 17 feature films, 31 short films, 20 documentaries, 1 full-length animated film, and 19 short animated films. The list of nomination categories and persons (groups of persons) listed as potential nominees in each category was determined by the copyright holders of the submitted works. In the nominations "Best Costume Design", "Best Makeup", "Best Sound", "Best Installation", "Best Visual Effects" the winners are defined by the members of the Board and the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Academy of Film in one stage.
After selection for compliance with the requirements of the regulations of the Fourth National Film Prize, a list of works admitted to voting by members of the Ukrainian Film Academy in each nomination was formed. Voting academics have the right to select no more than three applicants from each category, and up to five applicants in the Best Picture category.
