Docudays UA announced the composition of the jury and the concept of this year's festival

The 17th Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will be held this year in Kyiv from March 20-29.

With the image of Docudays UA-2020, the organizers chose a chewing gum.

The organizers explain their choice of concept and image as follows:

17 Docudays UA is about growing up. This is a time when you react sensitively and acutely to reality, rethinking and forming your views, learning to be independent. However, for us it is an opportunity to look at adulthood not only in personal dimension. In the context of public policy, we propose to understand the rights of children and how young people's voices may sound when discussing public issues. … In 2019, twenty years have passed since the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. By this international treaty, the United Nations has agreed to strengthen the capacity of children. By acceding to the Convention, Ukraine must follow this treaty. We want to promote the real inclusion of the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the political agenda of the state. ”

It is also known who will be the judges of this year's event.
