"Earth is blue like an orange" selected for Generation Berlinale 2020

Director Irina Tsilik's full-length debut, created with the support of Derzhkino's documentary "Blue Land Like Orange", was selected for the Generation 70th Anniversary Contest at the Berlin International Film Festival. The ribbon is presented in the Generation 14plus section.

This year, Generation has 59 competition entries, including 29 world premieres and 11 debut films from 34 countries, with female directors accounting for 58%.

The world premiere of "Blue Land Like Orange" took place on January 24, 2020 at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival World Documentary Competition. For the first time in the history of Ukrainian cinema, a Ukrainian director's film was presented in the competition program of this most famous and largest US independent film festival.

In addition, Irina Tsilik's tape was selected to participate in Doc Fortnight: MoMA's Festival of International Nonfiction Film and Media (February 2020, New York), where "Earth is Blue Like Orange" will also be the first Ukrainian film presented at this famous festival of innovative documentary film at the Museum of Contemporary Art of New York (MoMA, Museum of Modern Art NYC).

The film was produced by the Ukrainian production company Albatros Komunikos (produced by Anna Kapustina) and the Lithuanian production company Munmakers (produced by Gedre Jitkite) with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine, Lithuanian Film Center and IDFA Bertha Fund.
