The cultural code is a documentary project about how culture affects the fate of entire nations and turns some into strong, promising states, and others into degrading dictatorships. The authors of the documentary film Cultural Code will conduct a scientific experiment to compare the cultural experience, folk traditions, everyday habits and preferences of the Ukrainian and Russian military and find out why, at first glance, such similar countries actually turned out to be so different.

Based on research on the influence of culture on the brain, the project will try to give answers to the questions that have worried all Ukrainians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion - for what reasons do Russians so easily agree to barbarism in our country, which turns a person into a monster, and most importantly, whether indeed, each of us is capable of the atrocities committed by the Russian military.
