Summer 2007. In a few months, Slovakia will join the Schengen area to work on strengthening the Ukrainian-Slovak border. An intense period begins for Adam Krainyak, father of a large family and head of an organized crime group in the Eastern Border Territory – his eldest daughter Lucius marries a local thief Ivor, Ukrainian partner Yona wants to start her own business and a new kind of goods appears on the border – drugs. Closing the border is approaching, overall tensions are rising and growing into paranoia after a failed smuggling of cigarettes, resulting in Krainyak becoming the debtor of the Ukrainian boss Krull, whom everyone fears.

The plot mosaic is complemented by Krainyak's mother, the unofficial queen of the family business, Anna, a corrupt police captain Bernard and Assad, an expatriate from Afghanistan, and his full disagreement with traveling to Europe. The moment all the story lines intersect, death appears on the border. And here begins the carousel of tense, absurd and tragic events that lead to unexpected revelations and casualties. Krynyak pays for his actions, having lost his family he realizes that the only way out of the enchanted circle is to cross all borders. Criminal history with elements of thriller and black humor takes place in a special and mystical space that combines cultures, dialects, customs, miracles and human destinies.
