About the folk representations of the image of Taras Shevchenko, in which the common Ukrainian people identified the poet with legendary heroes and mythological figures. There are five story lines in the film. One of the story lines was the work of sculptor Taras Tsyupa on a portrait of Taras Shevchenko in clay.
