In the hot summer, young man Tomasz Cinek is going to go to England for a seasonal harvest of strawberries to stay there forever. The family does not approve of his intentions and, as he travels, his parents carry on with Tomasz long and grueling ideological disputes to which Tomasz has no business. Today he will have a fun farewell night with his Tanya and best friends, and tomorrow he will be gone.
But the next morning turns out to be unlike any other. Tomasz is in a hurry to the train station, but the streets of Prague are deserted and trains do not go. He does not yet know that the same day, August 21, 1968, will radically change the fate of thousands of people – him, Tomasz, Tanya, a young Russian soldier Lebedev, many strangers to him Czechs and those Soviet soldiers who by no means were at will territory of Czechoslovakia.
