In a children's home on the outskirts of the town of Pripyat lives a girl named Aurora, who wants to become a ballerina. Taras Savchenko, who works at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant - her closest person, she treats him like a dad she doesn't remember. After the Chernobyl explosion during which Taras Savchenko was at the station, Aurora runs to the station, hoping to meet him. There she receives a huge dose of radiation. Aurora is taken to the United States, to a clinic where she meets with her idol Mykola Astakhov, a ballet star who is going through a deep creative crisis. Meeting with a dying girl who dreams of becoming a ballerina helps Mykola Astakhov change his life.
