After several months of training, all recruits (except Riaba and Pinochet) are at the mercy of the Afghan campaign - the 9th company of the 345th Guards Parachute Regiment, where Athanasius, Khokhol and Kurbashi already serve. A group of Airborne Troops is tasked with taking the altitude and holding it until it passes a column of distant garrisons to deliver food and ammunition to Host Province. At this time, the Soviet leadership decides to withdraw troops from Afghanistan and withdraw the column back. But in the turmoil, the withdrawal of huge command forces forgot about 9 companies, leaving them alone with numerous enemies. Almost completely the composition of the company dies in battle.
