In the late 1950s, Serhiy Paradzhanov came to the picturesque village of Buchak in the Kaniv region to film "Ukrainian Rhapsody" and since then Buchak has turned into a unique filming site - many films that became classics of cinema were filmed here. Today, abandoned houses are home to a number of "self-settlers" and are trying to save what remains. Buchak's story is a metaphor for what Ukraine has experienced over the past half-century.
