In Ukrainian culture, kobzarism and ban duration have coexisted naturally since ancient times. In the eighteenth and eighteenth centuries. almost every Ukrainian house had a kobza. When Zaporizhzhya Sich was liquidated in 1775, fewer and fewer Cossacks and elders played in the cobs. But the people continued to have a Kobza spiritual tradition – blind singers reminded of Cossack liberties. The moral authority of these wandering philosopher-artists was extremely high. Does anyone know about this now, do Ukrainians remember their traditions?
The film explores the question – who are they – modern kobzars and lyricists, how do they integrate into society, and how does that society perceive them?
