The film is a portrait of the commander of the Volunteer 11th Territorial Battalion "Kyivan Rus", a former lieutenant colonel of the Airborne Troops, Oleksandr Humeniuk, who was called "Batya" by fighters in the ATO area. Thanks to his powerful spirit and striving for justice in a difficult time for the country, he became the inspirer and educator of new patriots in the trenches of the war in the Donbas.
