A documentary account of the heroic defence of the village of Gusarivka in the Kharkiv region during Russia’s full-scale invasion.

At the heart of the film are the young soldiers of the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade ‘Kholodny Yar’, who bravely defended Ukrainian soil and gave their lives for freedom. Their heroism has become a symbol of resilience and an example for future generations.

The occupation of Husarivka lasted 22 days — from 4 to 26 March 2022. The village suffered terrible destruction; most of its economic and social infrastructure was destroyed, whilst the civilian population endured the cold, hunger and the terror inflicted by the occupiers. The film features the voices of Gusarivka’s residents, who have preserved their memories of that time and share their own stories of resistance.
