The film breaks down two painful themes that are the result of the war in eastern Ukraine - missing and captured. These topics are interconnected and at the same time have many different aspects.

The state's responsibility for the fate of its own citizens and the protection of their rights is unconditional and extremely high. Drawing attention to the fate of fighters and civilians who have undergone cruel and inhumane treatment in uncontrolled territory has suffered serious psychological trauma - one of the areas of the film's plot. Both men and women comment. Unfortunately, the treatment of women in captivity is no less cruel than that of men. The evidence collected and the testimony of witnesses indicate that some crimes committed in the east during a military conflict may well qualify as crimes against humanity.

The second important aspect is the search for missing persons in Donbass. Representatives of forensic experts, search organizations, the Red Cross, psychologists, volunteers comment on this topic. The focus of the family is that they have been trying to find their relatives for several years.
