Sasha (20) and Olya (17) were left alone after their mother left the family. Sasha, taking on the role of father, becomes overly protective of Olya, who, despite her youth and naivety, tries to believe in a bright future. The unexpected appearance of their mother and her offer to go to America to start a new life presents the characters with an important choice. The trip threatens to separate the siblings, and Sasha suspects that their mother is hiding her true motives. Although he openly rejects her proposal, deep down he misses her most and wants to be together. This desire becomes so strong that Sasha imagines that his mother has really returned.
