In a state of deep depression, renowned Ukrainian director and exile Alain de Leon (real name Dmytro) attempts to find his place in the modern film industry, where poetic cinema is dying out and television and cinema halls are filled with fake and formulaic films. At this time, a series of striking events occur to the creator, which the aging filmmaker tries to interpret.

In the psychoanalyst's office, talking to a specialist, Alain tries to remember and decipher his own dreams, and also recalls his last meeting with producers, which finally put an end to his belief in a bright future for cinema. In search of answers to the riddles of dreams, the director and psychologist enter the stage of a huge hall, and perhaps it is there that not only the cause of depression will become clear, but also the fate of the artist who once personified the very word ‘cinema’…
