The name of Heinrich Neuhaus (1888-1964) was mostly known in musical circles. A German born in Ukraine, in the beginning of the ХХ century he was the teacher for several generations of pianists and was himself a famous performer. But in his family life, he suffered defeat by his friend and no less famous cultural figure – writer Borys Pasternak (1890-1960).
