Ordinary children's camp. Our time. Vadik, a 12-year-old fantasy-liar, becomes an outcast among his friends. Yesterday he was the soul of the company, but today nobody wants to talk to him. Unaccustomed to being on the periphery of life, Vadik desperately tries to do the deed and regain the respect of his comrades, but instead falls into the center of a confrontation between two non-terrestrial forces at will. On the one hand, it is the faceless and almighty Energy that created the universe, giving it development and transformation.

What we used to call progress is what we think has lifted us from the cave to the modern level. On the other – an ancient civilization, which in its own right knows that the ultimate form of energy development is an explosion. An explosion that sweeps any form of life, destroying the old and starting a new round of its development. Even in the most daring fantasy, Vadik could not imagine that he would get into such a mess. Accustomed to being a hero in their stories, Vadik never thought of becoming them. It is easy to talk about fictional courage, but not everyone can overcome real fear. Now Vadik needs to do a feat not for the sake of respect for friends, but for the prevention of global catastrophe. And it depends on him which way the further development of humanity will go.
