The film tells the story of two Ukrainian idealists over the course of almost nine years: from the events of the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014 to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Pavlo and Svitlana meet and fall in love during the peaceful protests on the Maidan. In defence of their country, democracy and family, the young couple find themselves facing difficult life choices.
