Film for Free Ukraine – this is Ukrainian-Polish project that was formed as initiative of two members of Agnieszka Holland's “Mr. Jones” film crew.

Four years ago we took part in reenacting the developments in Ukraine almost 100 years ago, the story about the Holodomor/ Big Famine in 1932-33, Stalin's genocide on the Ukrainian nation, and the terrible lying Soviet propaganda. Today it is the 56th day of Russian invasion in Ukraine, the bombing of the cities, killing of civilians, rapes and kidnapping continues. Now Russian officials lie about the war in Ukraine calling it "special operation" at the same time being recognised as war criminals by the Western countries. The Ukrainians again is fighting for freedom, and slave state of aggressors wants to prove that they are “savers”.

The organizers of the project are Agatha Winska (the wardrobe assistant - Poland) and Natalka Gordiy-Kukharska (the casting assistant and actor’s assistant -Ukraine) asked the crew members and cast of "Mr. Jones" film, to record their voice and make a stand.

Today our mission is to share the voices the recording, and to mobilise the filmmakers to act not to observe only. You can donate, share information and go to the screening and bring people with you.

As the war in Ukraine is still going on, our project is work in process. As a result we want to combine all collected 37 videos, in one documentary, and present it as an evidence for the call for support of the fighting Ukrainian nation.

We are sure that cinematography can be powerful gun to help Ukraine in its right to be free!!!

Our position is to do our best just to stay at least on the same place and if we want to do more, we should do much more, every day much more than we used to think we can.

Freedom is responsibility. And it can’t be without actions. It is impossible.

We want people won’t be just sorry about our situation, but they feel more and want to act with us. Together we are stronger. Always.

Nowadays everyone should work on his or her own frontline.
