The Fascists prepare a diversion in the district of Zhitomir’s railways. The diversional group has to break the connection between the front and rears of the Red Army, exploding a strategically important bridge. Galimov, SMERSH’s captain, is charged with the task to find and destroy the diversionists. This task becomes harder because Fascist agents were included in the guards of the bridge and in the counterintelligence group before the war began. Moverover, certain ambitious military men make Galimov’s work even harder by trying to use their positions for their own profit.
