Leonardo da Vinci's parable of the pelican is set against the backdrop of the events in eastern Ukraine. A little girl and her father are hiding in a basement with other people, including a boy who has lost his parents. She tries to make friends with him, but the path to their friendship lies through many overcoming and realisations.
