A film about how the surrogacy industry operates in Ukraine and how the rights of children born to foreign parents are protected.

The film centres on Daisy and Erland, an Estonian couple who paid a Ukrainian clinic €50,000 for a surrogacy programme. Thanks to a surrogate mother from Ukraine, the couple have realised their long-held dream and now have a daughter.

To pay for the programme, the couple took out a loan, which they will be repaying over the next nine years. They had previously tried to use a surrogacy programme, but fell victim to fraudsters and lost €25,000.
