Ukraine – 1636. Someone has attacked a battalion of cossacks that was transporting the gold of the Polish king. The local lord, Pshelutsky, allows the cossack to conduct an investigation to find the missing gold. A cossack Maksym Osa is hired to find the missing gold, but soon becomes one of the main suspects. All the evidence leads Osa to a werewolf who inhabits the local forests according to the legends. But who controls the werewolf? Lord’s daughter Marynka, his wife Helen, the lord himself, or the local thugs? During the investigation, Maksym Osa understands that one cannot trust anyone and nothing, even one's own eyes.
