This documentary project was created to mark the 35th anniversary of the largest and most horrific maritime disaster in the history of the Black Sea Fleet — the sinking of the passenger liner ‘Admiral Nakhimov’ on 31 August 1986.

The project features unique archive footage of underwater filming, as well as video from the personal archive of director Fyodor Lebedev, who has been filming interviews with witnesses to the sinking of the ‘Admiral Nakhimov’ for 30 years. In addition, years later, documentary filmmakers from the ‘Inter’ television channel filmed follow-up stories about some of the survivors of that tragedy, as well as people who lost loved ones on the liner.
