This film is the result of field research into the history of the Holocaust in Turka, in the Lviv region. It weaves together voices from the past and the present, with footage of the town’s streets from the early 1990s and the present day alternating with the accounts of residents — bearers of memory and post-memory — about their Jewish neighbours. It serves as an introduction to the wider discussion on Jewish heritage in Ukraine and non-Jewish memory of the Holocaust.
