After the Revolution of Dignity, the war in the East and the annexation of Crimea, grassroots initiatives in Ukraine became even more popular. The Soviet approach to common property is still considered the norm, but a new worldview is gaining momentum. Meanwhile, officials are trying to emulate popular movements and hire artists for PR and propaganda. The film tells stories from the city of Mariupol, from the annexed Crimea and from the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. While some artists are fighting for a place for creativity and life, others are appropriating a common space with the help of populist officials. What is a revolution, what is a public space and what is the artist's task during wartime – this is the question of what to rise in the film.
