The town of Romodan in Poltava region is divided in half by a dozen and a half tracks on which high-speed trains pass. There is a school on each side of the railway. However, the authorities decide to close one.
Parents are excited - children will have to walk through the railway crossing. The parent movement for the preservation of the school begins to operate. It is headed by Alexander Korshak. It sends dozens of information requests. The answers show that the school is closed due to lack of funds. Meanwhile, the village community learns that the village head is being bought a new company car. There is less money for the annual maintenance of the school than the cost of two such cars…
