Due to his convictions about the need to preserve and develop Ukrainian culture, poet and dissident Vasyl Stus was repressed by the Soviet authorities, his work was banned, and he was convicted and died in prison. The feature film of the STB channel presents some events from the life of Vasyl Semenovych. For example, the action during the premiere of Sergei Parajanov's film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" in 1965 in the cinema "Ukraine", when the audience rose in protest to arrest the arrests of Ukrainian intellectuals.
