The film tells about the period of German-fascist occupation of the 1941-1944 years of the Vinnytsia region, because it was in Vinnitsa in 1943 that the Nazis tried to justify the Holocaust crimes, accusing the so-called Jewish NKVD agents of killing repressed Ukrainians during the 1937-1941 tragedy. The basis of the film is the revelation of the primordial wisdom and ethnic tolerance of the Ukrainian people in times of terrible military disasters, including how people ended up in Jewish ghettos and concentration camps, and despite their death threat, Ukrainian compatriots saved their lives.
