Semyon Ben used to run a police station in the Israeli city of Haifa. When he learns about the death of an old friend, the pensioner goes to Odessa, where he is waiting for an inheritance – an old dachshund of the deceased. Soon the hero finds out that his friend was killed. Together with the landlady and nephew of the murdered man, they take up the investigation of the case.
