In the center of ancient Severia (in the Chernihiv region), above the river Udka, lies the village of Sokyryntsi, the ancestral estate of the Galagans, donated by the king for the betrayal of his people Gnat Galagan in 1716. In 1829, a new palace house was built, and the old forest was arranged in the style of an English park. In the middle of the 19th century, a young Russian artist, Lev Zhemchuzhnikov, lived in Sokyryntsi with Grigory Pavlovich Galagan, the last descendant at the time.
