A film recounting the memories of Hanna Fedorivna Shcherban, the mother of the renowned Ukrainian ‘Sixties’ poet Vasyl Symonenko (1935–1963).

The programme features the grave of V. A. Symonenko in the city of Cherkasy, and the house in the village of Biivtsi, Lubny District, Poltava Region, where the poet was born. The artist’s mother, H. F. Shcherban, speaks about her son. Archival photographs and audio recordings have been used.
