The story takes place in 80s in the USSR. Denis is a student of film institute. He is glad about not being sent to Afghanistan war as an internationalist soldier and totally steeps in partying and having fun. One day he meets a woman and immediately falls in love with her. But as a woman that has a family and fully established herself professionally she rejects the impertinent young man. Being disappointed at her rejecting his feelings, he goes to war, where the harsh circumstances make him revise his life position. His love will bring new challenges and difficulties when they meet again.
