The action takes place in Kiev, in the historic district of the city. On one of the old streets is an animation studio where the main character Alexey, a young artist, works. He is late for work until night - urgent work must be completed. Because of this, he cannot talk to his girlfriend, Anya. Anya wanted to tell Alex something important. After drawing, Alex goes home on foot with an empty night city. Along the way, he decides to drink wine. To get to the only night shop Alex deviates from his route. In one of the lanes he hears live jazz music. These are old musicians. Sometimes they meet at a pianist at home and remember their youth. Alex gets acquainted with them and it turns out that despite the age difference, they absolutely understand each other. Old jazz players witness how Alexey learns from Ani that he will soon become a father. Life does not stop, old age, maturity and birth are beautiful. Age doesn't matter. The city as a symbol of inviolability and unity. Life is something like music, jazz, it has a place for improvisation.
