This documentary film details the history of the Poltava mine and processing plant and the determination of the people who made it happen. In January 1960, a group of young men and women arrived to the sandy banks of the river Dnieper to begin an enormous undertaking that transformed a barren land into a world-class mine and processing plant. On 27 February 1970, the first iron ore concentrate was produced at the plant. Since then, over 94,000 people have worked here; and today, Ferrexpo is the world’s third largest supplier of iron ore pellets to the global steel industry.
