In the late 1960s, after a period of thaw, musical groups began to form in the USSR to become analogues of Western rock bands. They were named VIA – vocal-instrumental ensembles. The next decade became the golden era of Ukrainian pop music.

The film explores the phenomenon of the Ukrainian mustachioed funk which has not lost its relevance.
