The movie takes place in the 1960s, in a rural country town. Ivan is a foreman, a factory turner, one grows his son Alex. There are problems in the family: Ivan's beloved woman is in a huge shortcoming and is in danger of prison. And Alexey, in the eyes of his beloved girl, was humiliated by the bullies. Dad finds a non-standard way out of these situations: he makes a gun (to get Leshka to avenge the bullies), then he and his son go to rob the cafe to help Masha cover the shortage. Gradually Alexey tastes good, he enjoys power over people, he commits the first murder. Suddenly, Ivan realizes that he has grown a killer with his own hands.
