The kind and desperate taxi driver Paul is not used to thinking about the meaning of life, noticing, in the main, only its pleasant sides. He is in love with Tamara, who dreams of becoming a famous singer. Occasionally, after going to psychology courses, Paul meets Tatiana, a modest, unnoticed young woman. He draws attention to her after she, working out the tasks of a psychologist, utterly utters a monologue on the theme "If I loved you."
