Dina has raised her son, Tosik all by herself. Now he is a student but has had a serious cardiac condition from birth – his heart is too big. Now, as his condition has become life-threatening, he urgently needs surgery, but his mother cannot afford the money, and, without surgery, Tosik will surely die. Suddenly and quite unexpectedly, Dina’s wealthy neighbour, Tamara, offers her the amount she needs. But Tosik refuses to accept it, believing that his mother has had to humble herself on his behalf in some way. He tells Dina that he will not agree to the surgery and runs away. Shortly afterwards, Tamara is found dead, and the suspicion of her murder falls on Tosik. Dina has to find the real murderer to save her son. Enter Detective Pavel, who has been suffering hard times over the loss of his family. Detective Pavel is confident that Tosik did not kill the neighbour, until Tosik himself unexpectedly intervenes in the investigation. He has decided to confess to the murder in order to release his mother from the burden of taking care of him.
