The small town of Illintsi, located in Vinnytsia region, together with the whole of Ukraine, is experiencing the events of winter 2013-2014. This is where their Maidan is going, the monument to Lenin is being demolished here, and when the war in the Donbas begins – there is a spontaneous volunteer movement here, as well as across the country. One of the organizers of this movement is Alexander, a public activist who has never been in power. Now he is running for mayor because he believes that to change something for the better, it is necessary to change it yourself. But whether idealists have a place in politics – only elections will show.
